Fun Facts about Sweat Glands

Did you know that the average person has between 2 - 4 million sweat glands throughout the surface of their body?

Sweating is important to body temperature regulation. When sweat from skin evaporates, our bodies dissipate heat.

Thick skin has a much higher concentration of sweat glands. For example, there are about 3,000 per inch in the palm of the hand!
